Coordinate PSG’s vendor base and spend across strategically focused category areas, develop an in-depth knowledge of assigned categories, suppliers and product cost drivers, generate understanding of regional demands (and as requireds sites in other regions) and sourcing constraints, run sourcing projects & events, negotiate, project manage, and execute “Preferred” Corporate Supply Agreements in alignment with Enterprise category strategies: with a primary focus on the sites in the region (NA) Establish roadmap of annual category objectives, strategies and projects, track and report project progress and project savings to achieve Corporate, Regional and Site level procurement objectives.
- Work with a Packaging global team to support sites in North America
- Define the Packaging Category Strategy and Annual Pipeline and identify and execute strategic category initiatives
- Support and lead multi-year strategies and business plans for respective categories, supported by executable initiatives that deliver results in line with short- and long-term goals for packaging sub-categories across the organization
- You are responsible for supplier management and continuous improvement and build strong relationships with key business stakeholders and other functions such as Quality, Regulatory, Development and Legal
- Establish, deploy and monitor operational supplier metrics to deliver objective “Supplier Relationship Management,”
- Ensure contract compliance and support the harmonization of processes and technologies
- Define the category guidance / content and ensure accurate and regular reporting
- Support and promote the internal Pharmaceutical Services business groups in NA with supplier / supply chain rationale and direction,
- Oversee and / or directly manage supplier quality issues and disputes in NA.
- Act as a change agent to drive improvements
- Establish and manage senior executive relationships within the category supply base
- Rationalize and leverage the vendor base on a category basis, measure and improve "compliance" to the corporate contracts Align external supplier partners and cross-functional internal teams to advance key business drivers, such as supply continuity, quality, cost and operational performance
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
Experience
- More than 3 years of strategic and operational experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing.
- Experience with sourcing of direct materials
- Knowledge in Category Management and Advanced Strategic Sourcing is a plus.
- Experience in packaging projects procurement is a plus.
- Proven experience in leading global, cross-functional project teams.
- Proven financial and entrepreneurial understanding (eg Total Cost of Ownership, cost modeling).
- Proven skills in negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to effectively lead teams in a global, changeable and interactive environment.
- Knowledge in procurement-specific systems and processes for the efficient management of procurement measures and contract negotiations (e.g. e-sourcing, e-auctions).
- Willingness to travel of up to 30%.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain standards of accuracy under tight deadlines
- Strong proficiency in MS-Office tools (specifically, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint)
Location. This position is open to be located in one of NA ThemoFisher PSG sites inside CTD or DCD-NA Business Unit.
