Job Description

The Packager position focuses on putting the right amount of product into the correct boxes and preparing them for storage or shipment. Packager ensures that product is within specified guidelines prior to placing in boxes.

Drug screen will be required of candidate selected for position. Teeny Foods participates in E-Verify program. Candidate selected for position will be required to have employment eligibility verified through E-Verify system. Candidate selected must be able to successfuly pass background investigation.

Mandatory Overtime will be required during heavy production periods. Applicants must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays scheduled during this period of time.

Applicants should highlight any previous experience as a production worker in food service production, or experience packing products for shipment, inspecting products for quality or damage, sealing containers, or applying quality assurance techniques.

Candidates who have experience operating a forklift or machinery should highlight these skills in their resume.

Duties

  • Stack, separate, count, pack, and wrap a variety of bread products.
  • Wrap protective material around product.
  • Label products and assemble cartons.
  • Start, stop and regulate speed of conveyor.
  • Inspect product at each step of process to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) are followed.
  • Work on fast paced conveyor line packaging product manually. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Assist with the production process to monitor qualify and productivity as required.
  • Assist in other areas of production as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred, or students working towards completion of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Basic mathematical skills to allow for counting of product prior to placing in boxes.
  • Ability to work in fast paced production environment
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly during scheduled shift
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Strong work ethic (report to work on time for scheduled shifts).

Medical, dental, and vision benefits will be offered after 90 days of continuous employment. Paid Time Off (PTO) will be front loaded on the 91st day of employment and available for immediate use. 401K plan with 4% matching contributions, holiday pay and profit sharing will be available to candidate selected following completion of one full year of continuous employment. Scholarship and education tuition reimbursement is also offered by company.

Pay Rate: $15.50 - $160.00 PH to start. Pay increase possible following successful completion of 90 day introductory period.

Full-Time position. Swing shift (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) or Night shift (11:00 pm – 7:00 am) positions open currently.
