Position Summary:
This position operates under the supervision of a center Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) or Medical Doctor (MD) for staffing purposes. This position provides assessments and therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. This position works to provide mental health, addictions and behavioral health clinical treatment/diagnosis within scope of practice as defined by degree and license. This position is responsible for participating in treatment planning with the center psychiatrist and client, reporting client progress to appropriate referral source, and maintain adequate and timely documentation. This position operates under minimal supervision and must exercise tact, judgment and confidentiality in contact with the public, clients and families, as well as fellow associates of the Center. Work is very broad in scope and requires a high level of professionalism.
Requirements:
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health or related field (MSW, MS, MA) required.
- If not yet licensed, must be working toward qualifying licensure, per Center policy.
- If the QBHP is providing services in the addiction department must have or are working towards either state licensure (LAC/LCAC) or other national certification in addictions.
Experience:
- Experience and knowledge of appropriate therapeutic practices preferred if direct line staff.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Works well under supervision as well as independently. Organizes/manages time and daily activities with little direct supervision.
- Ability to think critically and analyze information/situations for most appropriate response.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Handles complex tasks and requests supervision when necessary.
- Able to utilize databases and/or other electronic means to perform duties.
- Models professionalism, teamwork and communication internally and externally.
- Maintains positive working relations and rapport with the community.
- In accordance with State Law, Qualified Behavioral Health Professional must already possess or be eligible for the following licensure:
Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or associate (LMFT-A), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or associate (LMHC-A) or Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC)

Additional Compensation and incentives
- Eligible for $150/month ($1,800 annually) in student loan repayment, available at hire
