The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Outage/Project Manager to provide customer & commercial success, and management of scope & schedule for assigned outages and industrial automation projects. The Outage/Project Manager should have the ability to manage a rolling portfolio of outages and industrial projects across several customer accounts and industries while providing credible leadership to all aspects of mechanical valve services, instrumentation services, reliability services, automation, and automation related projects/operational activities.
How You’ll Be Successful
- Ability to accomplish the following:
- Plan, budget, coordinate, communicate and report to the customer and NECI sales lead and management team
- Manage multiple internal and external service channels and trades
- Identify and execute scope expansion opportunities
- Create and execute on formal policies, procedures, deliverables, and work practices that ensures NECI delivers success to our customers and ourselves
- Build and improve upon the existing PMO and Operations standard operating procedures continuously
What You’ll Do
- Pre-execution responsibilities such as sales support, proposal generation, project & outage planning, and estimating activities. These activities lead to well-defined deliverables with associated work plans that provide a solid starting point for all work.
- Delivery responsibilities such as customer management, team management, high level technical direction, commercial management, and schedule/resourcing management.
- Post project activities such as continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, project to site transition, training, adoption services, outcome delivery.
- Create and execute on formal policies, procedures, deliverables and work practices that ensures NECI delivers success to our customers and ourselves.
- Physical demands: Lifting to 50 lbs.
- Travel: 50%- within New England and Upstate NY. Typically, outages and occasionally project assignments require full time on-site presence during site execution.
QUALIFICATIONS - What You’ll Bring
- BS in Engineering or equivalent Plant experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a supervisor, lead technician or engineer in a leadership role.
- General outage, mechanical services, instrumentation services, and process controls knowledge.
- Experience managing outages and small automation projects; along with preparing, evaluating, and managing budgets
