Online Teaching Center Project Supervisor-Technology Tools

Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for all analysis of online efforts as assigned by the Finding division of the Missionary Department. Analysis will include data capture on success rate of current initiatives and pilots, development and recording of key metrics, maintaining feedback loops with Missionary Department, and making recommendations based on patterns and progress.

Under the direction of the OTC manager and the worldwide finding team, the incumbent will manage a team of part-time employees to utilize technology tools and reports to provide insightful recommendations to mission leaders to increase a mission’s abilities to fulfill their missionary purpose through local digital efforts.

Essential Functions

  • Train and supervise a team of part-time employees on Missionary Department digital finding technology tools including: Marketo, Sprinklr (or similar social media analytic platforms), Area Book Planner, Google Currents, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media analytic platforms to increase missionary outcomes in the field.
    • Ensure adequate training takes place so project specialists can work efficiently.
    • Encourage goal setting and accountability.
    • Handle any needed discipline issues.
    • Help manage employee administrative responsibilities, including creating work schedules on a semester basis and approving and processing substitution requests, including pay raises.
  • Learn and use digital finding technology tools, including reviewing various reports/data and providing actionable recommendations and insights. Make process recommendations based on current trends/patterns viewed from the data.
  • Work with other OTC supervisors, the OTC manager, and their part-time employees to train and improve support provided to digital Missionary Department initiatives.
  • Collect key metrics on current pilots through data analysis, focus groups, surveys, etc. Work with Missionary Department leaders to plan and execute strategic use of technology tools.
  • Assist the Online Teaching Center Manager and Supervisors in the hiring process.
    • Filtering applications.
    • Coordinating interviews.

Education/Experience

Minimum education/experience:

Required:

  • 1 year of college coursework.

Preferred:

  • Returned missionary
  • One semester of experience as an MTC Training or Online Teaching Center employee
  • Has received or is seeking a degree in Statistics, Marketing, Business, Strategic Consulting or related field
  • A year of experience using social media management and/or marketing automation software
  • Project supervision experience

Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications:

Required:

  • Able to learn new technology tools quickly.
  • Ability to confidently manage and analyze data and statistics to identify trends.
  • Profession communication and feedback delivery skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proactive.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Well versed in social media.
  • Well versed in Google Drive applications.
  • Professionalism in communicating with leadership such as Mission Presidents and other mission leaders.
  • Spanish or Portuguese language speaking and writing ability.
  • Hands-on experience with business software beyond Microsoft Office.
  • Training skills.


Employee Class:
3/4 Time (28 hour)
Work Location: Provo Campus

Pay Level: 50
Approximate Starting Salary: $21.85 to $28.25 (DOQ)
