This role leads WSECU’s Organizational Training team in providing instructional design and learning management system oversight and supports the Operational Training Team to achieve the desired learning outcome. This position leads learning programs and initiatives, building a learning culture in support of strategic initiatives.

Your day might include:

  • Acting as the training lead on racial equity, change management, leadership training, agile and financial coaching programs
  • Working with leaders of Organizational Development and Learning to align training to corporate strategies
  • Facilitating virtual and in classroom learning for leadership and acting as back up for all organizational training
  • Leading the entire instructional design process for both training teams - operational and organizational
  • Using both qualitative and quantitative information and data and determining solutions and recommendations for current training effectiveness and future training solutions
  • Providing expertise and influencing the adoption of training best practices across the learning function
  • Developing internal instructional designers/trainers in facilitation skills, developing training content, and delivery of high-quality training solutions
  • Accepting and giving timely feedback to direct reports and peers
  • Encouraging exploring, evaluating and implementing state of the art learning methods and technologies that engage learning, learners, and instructors.
  • Monitoring department budget and work queues
  • Building meaningful relationships across the organization to understand needs, gain buy-in and collaborate on implementation of solutions
  • Consulting with VP of Organizational Development & Learning and Organizational Development’s Director to develop goals and strategies for closing line of business performance gaps
  • Consulting with lines of business to ensure training needs are met

What you bring to the team:

  • A Bachelors’ degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Business or related field: Relevant experience may be substituted, year for year, for academic achievement.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a learning and development discipline; Up to two years of organizational development experience may be substituted for a total of four years combined.
  • At least five years of direct supervision of staff and the ability to coach, develop and recognize employees
  • Expert knowledge of adult learning methodologies
  • Practical experience in course development software (i.e. Articulate, Adobe, etc.) and at least one year in learning management systems
  • At least of two years of instructional elearning and ILT design methodology experience
  • Outstanding and effective communication, presentation, listening and facilitation skills
  • Ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy and professionalism

Bonus points if you have:

  • Financial Services Experience
  • Certification in change management
  • Experience in DEI, Financial Wellness, Leadership, or Change Management training
  • Experience with Cornerstone Learning Management system
  • Experience with Storyline Captivate 360
  • Project management skills

Competitive pay: $ 82,888.34 - $124,332.51 DOQ, plus an excellent benefits package!

When you’d work: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, with scheduling flexibility depending on business needs, non-exempt position
