OR Assistant
The Operating Room Assistant performs direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting and assists in the maintenance of a safe, clean environment.
- You must be able to follow specific procedures to perform terminal cleaning of the OR and prepares rooms for new patients.
- You will use industrial cleaning agents and equipment following appropriate safety procedures.
- You will clean and re-make stretchers/beds.
- You will assist in the turnover of all OR room between cases.
- You will stock all assigned areas and deliver specimens/blood to the lab.
- You will transport patients as directed by nurse.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED Preferred.
- BLS through the American Heart Association required
- 6 months housekeeping experience
- Heavy lifting also required (25lbs-75lbs)
