- Create reports within the LMS (lab management system), perform production flow analysis, research root causes of production flows needing improvement, recommend Rx and process flow changes
- Handle prescription order questions, maintain frame file, perform trace data search and replacement, trace rimless frames, process rework/redo paperwork, contact the doctor's office for routine items such as missing information and suggestions for substitutions
- Order both stock and nonstock lenses, review Rxs for possible substitution and recommends alternatives to doctors, ensure information regarding lens delays is communicated to doctor’s offices, stay informed of lens availability and communicate to lab personnel and doctors, assist in the maintenance of lens inventory levels and bar-coding records, receive lens materials and process the paperwork for the received materials, perform and monitor inventory control, key lens information into the LMS
- Responsible for line performance and results, update hourly counts and control charts posted on the machines, submit and track work orders
- Operate the hard coaters, assist with the coating operation, maintain equipment
- Perform gradient tinting and sample matching
- Perform all duties within Level 3 shipping, research and analyze process improvements, manage individual account shipping activity independently handling telephone communications with customers regarding shipping and courier options, perform other clerical duties as needed
- Place and distribute supply requests, perform weekly and monthly inventory, record inventory into Excel spreadsheets, empty paper recycling bins, manage and maintain hazardous waste, maintain physical appearance of warehouse, both inside and outside

Perform other duties as assigned
Experience in a production/manufacturing/optical laboratory-related environment
Experience in factory equipment maintenance
Experience in a lens room environment
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet department standards for productivity and quality
Ability to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasks
Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
Ability to perform physical activities requiring bending, kneeling and pulling/pushing
Ability to recognize and distinguish colors
Ability to understand and follow procedures
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to walk or stand up to 100% of the time
