Optical Consultant help others to see more clearly by teaching them the differences in eye care while creating a great experience in the selection and sales process for eyeglasses, frames, contact lenses, etc.
What do Optical Consultant do?
- Enjoy serving and helping clients and co-workers.
- Enjoy selling eyewear goods such as contact lenses, spectacles, sunglasses, and other goods related to eyes in general.
- Help clients select frame style and color while ensuring the frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.
- Self-motivated and self-initiating
What skills to Optical Consultant need?
Experience in Retail Sales, Optician, Technician dispensing contact lenses and glasses.
Measure customer for size of eyeglasses and coordinate frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescription.- Prepare work orders and instructions for grinding lenses and fabricating eyeglasses.
- Maintain records of customer prescriptions, work orders, and payments.
- Perform administrative duties such as tracking inventory and sales, submitting patient insurance information, and performing simple bookkeeping.
- Arrange and maintain displays of optical merchandise.
