The Sourcing and Procurement team, within Operations Consulting, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients optimise all elements of their Sourcing and Procurement capabilities to become a source of value and competitive advantages. We focus on category management, strategic sourcing, procurement transformation enabled by technology, and procurement on demand managed services to drive innovation, cost reduction, and supply resiliency.

Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Economics, Industrial and Operations Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:

  • Managing teams involving the supply chain within the Healthcare Industry;
  • Managing budget development, financial management and staff, and producing white papers and/or publishing journal articles on the topic of supply chain management; and,
  • Possessing experience working with digital procurement and supply chain solutions (e.g., spend analysis, should costing, eRFX).

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Using various enterprise resource planning and e-sourcing software such as JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Ariba, PeopleSoft and Manugistics;
  • Contributing and team member identifying and addressing client needs with a focus on Procurement and Sourcing functions;
  • Participating in client discussions and meetings, managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues; and,
  • Creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members, providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.

Demonstrates intimate Sourcing and Procurement knowledge and capabilities within the Energy, Utilities, and Resources industries in one or more of the following areas:

  • Understanding of gas and electric transmission and distribution utilities business, organization, regulatory requirements, and common asset and work types;
  • Understanding of Oil and Gas operations;
  • Understanding of Power and Utilities;
  • Understanding of Chemicals; or,
  • Understanding of Mining and Metals.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Identifying and addressing client needs;
  • Building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement;
  • Communicating value propositions;
  • Managing resource requirements, project plans and budget;
  • Preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials;
  • Performing as a team lead; and,
  • Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
