We are looking for a responsible candidate for our Operations Support role at our hospice agency in Troy, MI. This position entails performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the care of our patients. Duties of the Operations Support position include providing support to our managers and clinical employees, assisting in daily office needs and helping manage our procurement of patient supplies and equipment. The Operations Support's responsibilities include helping facilitate patient arrangements, preparing general office reports and maintaining organization throughout the office. The ideal candidate should have excellent work ethic and be kind to fellow employees. Computer literacy will be essential for this position; Microsoft Office systems and our electronic medical records system will be utilized frequently in this role. Ultimately, a successful Operations Support personnel should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Organize and help coordinate patient deliverables under direction of Office Manager and Director of Nursing.
- Correspond with vendor and referral sources via faxes and forms essential for patient care
- Assist in the preparation of patient admissions
- Maintain order over operations
- Maintain contacts of important local services for patient resources
- Book patient arrangements
- Process and reconcile assigned reports
- Provide general support to visitors
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
Skills
- Proven experience as an operations support team or office admin assistant in a medical office
- Experience in hospice or home care settings
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
