Job Description
This role is for someone to be a traditional Operations Program Manager (OPM) but also take on additional responsibilities above and beyond what a typical OPM would do. The successful candidate will manage several products/programs through the development lifecycle as the focal point for Operations. They will be responsible for cost, quality and schedule for their assigned programs. This will require an ability to plan and execute complicated development programs. Daily tasks will include cost (planned versus actual), schedule (task monitoring and completion) and quality (feedback into the process to prevent future issues) items. The OPM is also involved in the proposal of new work prior to award and ensuring the team executes to the proposed plan when the work is awarded.

In this role there will be additional over-arching objectives as well which are listed below:
Responsible to ensure all programs transition successfully from Development to Production which includes working with peer OPM’s to ensure all transition checklists and associated actions are completed as well as defining/refining the transition to Production process including MRR, iMRA, PRR and applicable AS9145 tasks.
- Act as the primary interface to Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) to ensure CCA needs are clearly communicated and prioritized when needed by working with peer OPM’s to be the single point interface with PCA representing all Development program needs.
- Lead multiple Development Program execution improvement projects. Be the focal point for improvement projects to improve the development team performance as the team faces into significant growth in programs to be executed. Work side-by-side with Operations Leadership to ensure we are ready for the increase in Development programs.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 4 year degree in a related field.
- Cross functional experience within different roles. Experience with project scheduling techniques and cost tracking systems. Knowledge of military based quality system.
- Excellent team building skills.
- Tremendous communication skills.
- Ability to summarize and effectively communicate project status.
- Thorough understanding of the development process and Operations role in that.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with Oracle based manufacturing planning system
- Superior communications skills. Comfortable with one on one as well as large group discussions and ability to lead group discussions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time and be very organized.
