Scaling Management Consulting Group, Inc. is hiring high-performing, goal-achieving Operations Managers to join our growing team!
*
This position is contract-based, part-time (20 hours per week to start).
We are looking for hungry, cream-of-the-crop overachievers who consistently prove they are the best at whatever they undertake and who are interested in a long-term commitment with a company on a mission to serve others and change businesses every day.
In working with us, you will feel like a part of something much bigger than yourself and you will literally change people’s lives on a daily basis.
This is not your average “operations” position.
In keeping with our brand of “doing business with authenticity and integrity,” we’re looking for someone who will support the Fractional COO to deliver for the client. This role entails managing daily tasks that help the business run effectively and make progress towards its strategic plan. Responsibilities vary depending on the nature of the business and the role that the Fractional COO is performing. *

Operations Managers plan, direct and coordinate the operations of an organization. They are responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.
This position allows you to work remotely anywhere in North America. Therefore, your hours are somewhat flexible (you need to be available for team meetings and calls during the week), as the work can be done anywhere you have consistently reliable phone and Internet access.
In this role, you will work directly with our Fractional COO to support the needs of the company’s CEO and leadership team. This role will have varying levels of focus depending on the nature of the business you are supporting, its maturity, and the fractional COO’s needs and personality.
Success will depend highly on your ability to collaborate well with the Fractional COO by enabling their unique talents while filling in where it is needed most.
Additional success factors include the willingness to:
- Build capability, not dependency
- Drive efficiency and see the gaps
- Exceed the standard for accountability in the organization
- Manage complexity and work with varying levels of ambiguity
- Learn and ask questions
These are some of the qualities and skills we are looking for in the optimal candidates for this position:
- Confidence and belief in yourself and your ability to make things happen. You must already know this about yourself. This, we believe, is something that cannot be taught. It must be a lifelong skill.
- An extremely strategic, cooperative, and positive approach.
- A love of working in a group dynamic, with the ability to be extremely efficient and effective in working independently. An independent self-starter who loves a financial reward and to know they’re doing good work in the world is who we are looking for. Excellent written (email) and verbal (phone) communication skills.
- Well-honed time-management skills, as you will need to be self-directed and willing to go above and beyond in working with our people on a daily basis.
- High emotional intelligence. You genuinely care for people. You have a genuine interest in and connect easily with others, and you love supporting others to succeed.
- No-excuses determination. You love setting goals for yourself and do your absolute best to achieve them.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities. You are strategic and take the initiative to identify potential obstacles that will inevitably come up and you proactively create solutions.
- Your existing experience with technology is a BIG plus. Currently, we work very actively with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Zoom, Slack, etc.
- Familiarity with the business coaching and B2B/Operations industry will give you great insight into the work required for this position.
- Flexibility. Sometimes this work is fast-paced with strategy changing on the fly. We love systems and abide by them, but sometimes systems must change. Your ability to quickly and gracefully adjust to change will support your success and positive team dynamics.
