Sort inbound freight to specified cities. Manifest out of town cities. Assign random freight assignments and assist with deliveries as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Loose loading Line Haul cargo on 2-3 Line Haul trailers at two locations.
- Manifest Palletized cargo, organizing outbound freight, sort and note weight for each package.
- Complete manifest of outbound freight to each rural city.
- Re-routes Line Haul as required ensuring off-dock departures.
- Monitors overnight email/phone for Customer Care and Operations Management.
- Responsible for collection and dissemination of information between air vendors and operation management to include monitoring, tracking, collection and communication of flight information, and providing flight alerts between 11:30pm – 1:00am.
- Communicate to all Operations Management, Customer Service, and other management, etc., issues including weather, breakdowns, and other problems affecting the level of service provided to customers.
- Position will assist with fleet maintenance procedures and report problems with vehicles which includes monitoring vehicle logs.
- Pick up early morning Pharma for Tucson.
- Segregate and sort outbound pallets into route groups.
- Responsible for maintenance, use and troubleshooting of issues with handheld wireless devices used for tracking orders.
- Re-palletize all cargo for pickup by Independent Carrier no later than 3:30am.
- Ensure Line Haul departs no later than 4:00am.
- Report Line Haul departures for the morning report to ABQ.
- Report Air Cargo deliveries to ABQ.
- Other duties as assigned
- Required to hold a valid driver’s license for the state designated by the Company. Must be able to drive a 26’ box truck. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Functional knowledge of MS Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook) Proficient with ten-key and general Computer Skills preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Additional InformationDMC pays 75% of employee cost for medical only. You will be eligible for the company’s 401(k) plan during the next semi-annual enrollment period following the completion of one (1) year of continuous service. DMC will match 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2%.
