Essential Functions (include but not limited to): Operations Coordinators are given the tools and training to effectively organize and synchronize the Airline Operation at JFK International Airport with specific emphasis on scheduling and payroll. Successful candidates will work cooperatively with Operations Management to ensure 100% compliance with relation to the following tasks:
- Coordinate daily operational shifts of agents
- Responsible for daily staffing and development of rostering
- Ensure 100% coverage for mandated security positions
- Monitor overtime hours to reduce overhead
- Ensure all station equipment is fully accounted for
- Organize and prepare reports on attendance
- Prepare and report daily client/shift reports, logs
- Analyze and review operational activities
- Update coverage sheet as needed
- Distribute roster to all employees
- Update and verify qualifications on training matrix
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A proactive thinker with an outgoing personality who is comfortable speaking in front of groups and interacting with company colleagues and employees
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound independent judgement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while multitasking
- HS Diploma or G.E.D
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
- Must have great interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at various social levels across many diverse cultures
- Willing and able to participate in a drug test (either pre-employment or random) with negative results
- Must be willing to pass a 10-year verifiable background check (employment, education, criminal and personal references)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge with Customs seal as distributed by local airport authority and US Customs and Border Patrol
- Must be able to pass any initial and recurrent training classes as administered by the company, and/or local airport authority
- Must have experience working with basic office equipment (copier, scanner, fax, printer)
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365 platform including Microsoft Teams
- Customer Service experience
Language Skills: English Proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking)
Reasoning Ability:
- Must exhibit sound judgment and decision making
- They must have the ability to follow directions and outlined procedures.
- Must comply with HR, legal, and ethical policies
- Must include appropriate people in decision making
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Must be able to distinguish and know how to appropriately handle confidential information
