We have an opening for an Operations Co-Manager, Swing Shift 12PM-8PM EDT. This position will be located in New York, NY.
Position Summary:
The Operations Co-Manager will oversee & maintain a smooth operation of the commercial assist team and ensure minimal interruption to the business, while maximizing a quality product and open communication with clients and all other departments. Additionally they will anticipate problems and provide proactive solutions in a supportive role for production, VFX/finishing departments, assists, engineering, client services and all other staff members and encourage and mentor the growth of swing shift assist staff and other junior personnel. They will create and maintain a positive working environment and team spirit to get the greatest contribution from all employees.
Main Duties:
- Oversee and support colorist assist team
- Cover colorist assist duties as needed
- Manage SAN space and archiving
- Manage Wiredrive server
- Create Resolve databases as needed
- Manage Colorist Powergrade and personal settings
- Provide technical support for all commercial color operations software (Flex, Pivot, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Suite, bbedit, etc.)
- Manage Resolve upgrades
- Liaise with VFX teams, Features teams, producers, Clients, Image science teams
- Field and find solutions with production for incoming requests relating to “day of” client and/or internal session needs.
- Other duties as needed or requested.
What You Bring:
- Experience with High turn-over project management.
- Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve edit/color workflow
- Understanding of Commercial/TV short form process
- Experience working with EDLs in a QC manner
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
