POSITION SUMMARY:The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing the health status of individuals and groups, establishing nursing diagnoses, identifying and planning goals to meet health care needs, prescribing nursing interventions, implementing the plan of care and evaluating and documenting responses to interventions. The Registered Nurse delegates those interventions which may be performed by others, assists in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care, provides education to patients, families and health professionals and collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of health care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• EDUCATION:
  • Graduate of RN accredited program.
  • BSN preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:

• Recent operating room experience preferred
• Circulator/Scrub training preferred
• CNOR Certification preferred
• Recent pre/post-surgical experience preferred
• Computer skills and previous electronic charting experience preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):

• Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Massachusetts.
• Current BLS healthcare provider status.
• Post Hire Requirements:CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) Certification within four (4) months of eligibility, but no later than 28 months from hire. Cross train to scrub nurse within 12 months of hire
• Current ACLS/PALS healthcare provider status, or within 3 months of hire.

Schedule: Per Diem, Varies, M-F 7a-3:30p with flexibility
