We Are Hiring: Operating Room Assistant - Waukesha - Full Time

Schedule: Hours are primarily day shift. Extended shifts may be considered Weeknight call (1900-0700) 1-2 times per week 24 hour Weekend call (0700-0700) 1 weekend per 6 week schedule Holiday call rotation 1-2 per year

Pay: From $15/hour

In a single day, staff from 4 specialty based teams work within 16 Operating Room Suites to handle as many as 40 cases ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental, General/Vascular/ ENT, GYN, Urology, to Plastics surgery. Waukesha Memorial Hospitals Operating Rooms average 8,500 procedures annually including da Vinci Robotic procedures performed within more specialties routinely than any other facility in SE Wisconsin. The OR suite also includes a newly built Hybrid OR and a fully integrated Minimally Invasive Robotic room.

As an Operating Room Assistant, you will function as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a Registered Peri-Operative Nurse. You will be responsible for assisting in general department cleaning, case cart preparation, running errands, and assisting with transporting of patients and room turnover.

What You Will Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support Card through the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire
• Previous operating room support staff role or training as a nursing assistant or other patient contact role preferred
