This position will lead functions for systems of the NYL Direct's Insurance Operations and Services (IOS) unit (New Business, Underwriting, Premium Accounting, Claims, Facilities and Mail) by providing programming changes for OpenText/Captiva in C#/.Net and proprietary software development. Support IBML Imaging Systems software and hardware administration and development. Support Fairfax Quick Module remittance system. Vendor support for FIS Electronic Payment Processing, and Fineos Claims processing. Perform project management and quality assurance roles as needed.


Maintain, administer, troubleshoot, and develop code for Opentext/Captiva Capture based on business requirements. Apply system patches and upgrades in accordance with vendor support roadmap. Collaborate with other Agile teams across the organization to define functional requirements, develop and deliver solutions, provide ongoing support and assistance for deployed solutions.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology - application development preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience required
  • C# and Visual Basic programming language, SQL, familiarity with imaging and document solutions and tools.
  • Life Insurance terminology and concepts and understanding Business Process Management (BPM). Agile methodology.
  • Experience with OpenText Intelligent Capture/Captiva v7.x or greater.
  • Experience configuring Captiva Modules Designer, Administrator, ScanPlus.
  • Experience in designing new Capture Workflows with Captiva
  • Knowledge in Capture Flow Designer and scripting knowledge
  • Experience in installing, upgrading, configuring, and maintaining InputAccel (Captiva Capture) Application Servers and Web Servers version 7.7 or later
  • Knowledge in Captiva Advanced Recognition, Dispatcher, Extraction, Templates, Standard Import, Multi Directory Watch
  • Experience with Captiva Web Client, Captiva RestAPI, Deployment process.
  • Candidate should be at advanced development level with C#, .Net, Rest Web services, and VB.
  • Experience with server access tools such as Remote Desktop, Citrix and others
  • Experience with document manipulation tools – Aspose, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Wide knowledge of scanning and imaging related tools and technologies
  • Experience in troubleshooting user issues and communicating with customers and management.
  • Extensive Unit and Component test strategy, planning, and execution experience
  • Experience working in the Agile methodology
