General Internship Requisition: This is an Evergreen Requisition, representing multiple similar internship opportunities. We are looking for an intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in our Brooklyn Park, MN office. This position requires on-site work. While onsite, this internship will follow all applicable COVID-19 work safety guidelines. This position may also be remote for a portion of the internship term.
This program will run from May 24 - August 6, 2021. This is a full-time opportunity involving 40 hours per week.

As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will contribute to our mission by working with the teams responsible for delivering product innovations to market.
Some projects our former Manufacturing Engineering Interns have contributed to include:
- 3D printing specific components.
- Developing SolidWorks models and assemblies.
- Developing assembly aids, equipment specifications and manufacturing instructions.
- Conducting research and providing improvement recommendations for existing processes.
- Reviewing literature and conducting applicable product testing to aid in the design and development processes.
- Evaluating manufacturing data using Microsoft Excel and other software.
- Reviewing sales lead times and corresponding safety stock.
A typical day for you will include:
- Collaborating with your supervisor and teams to complete role-related assignments and projects.
- Leading projects to completion during the internship program.
- Actively engaging in and adding value to meetings and discussions.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.
- Must complete sophomore year before the internship begins and graduate after the internship ends.
- Preferred fields of study include Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related degree.
- Must possess basic engineering knowledge.
- Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Basic understanding of prototyping process.
- Experience with data analysis software.
- Experience with root cause analyses.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks.
- Strong, professional communication skills.
- Skilled in presentation development and public speaking.
- General curiosity and a desire to learn new material.
