Oil Plant Machine Operator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Taking Instruction from Plant Supervisor
  • Knowledge of Boiler Operations
  • Primary Duties
  • Knowledge of Compressor Operations
  • Run Expeller and making necessary adjustments.
  • Run Filter Press
  • Tank Sanitation
  • Measuring tanks. Converting inches to gallons.
  • Loading trucks
  • Detailed paperwork on input/output/ production flow.
  • Forklift Experience.
  • Operating Augers
  • GMP
  • Keeping area clean at all times
  • Sampling product during the operation
  • Machine operator for our Anderson Expeller machines.
  • 2-3 years of experience with vegetable oil production will be required.
  • Operate vegetable oil processing equipment and work on nut seed crushing and oil production plant.
  • Will be responsible for control and measurement of plant inventory to ensure finished goods meet internal quality specifications.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the facilities procedures and equipment.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Experience with expeller machine and augers
  • Very strong knowledge of process unit operations such as material handling, mechanical oil extraction, and vegetable oil
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within team environments.
  • To be able to work on weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekends

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)

Machines Operated:

  • Mechanical oil expeller, product cooker and pre-heater, steam boiler system, and filter press
