PMR Healthcare wants to add several motivated, self-managing, experienced EMTs/Paramedics to our medical staff.
As an employee of PMR Healthcare, you will be working in a variety of construction medical environments out of a bag and vehicle. PMR provides occupational, emergency medicine, and workplace safety to our client's employees and their guests; sending serious injuries to a physician.
You will work independently, managing your own time and tasks. Those tasks revolve around treating clients, answering their questions, and managing all aspects of the clinic except billing. Position will assist site safety.
Job Responsibilities ==========================
- Keep first aid supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
- Stabilize injuries by responding to accidents, determining the extent of injuries, and following first aid procedures.
- Send serious injuries to physician by determining the need for additional treatment and calling the ambulance.
- Document first aid actions by completing logs.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, as well as complying with legal regulations.
- Use a specific set of medical protocols that have been refined over time to assess and treat the most common work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Perform physical exams, case management, and medical documentation.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, budgeting, and ordering supplies.
- Update professional knowledge by maintaining certification(s), participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Enhance safety and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, as well as exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Requirements ==========================
- Licensed or certified Paramedic/EMT
- Clinicians with at least 3+ years experience in their field of expertise are preferred.
- Computer skills preferred (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform duties with little supervision.
- Desire to continue training and professional development.Desired Skills and Qualifications ==========================
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Good team player . Works effectively as part of a medical team. Understands the chain of command: who to go to, how to ask questions, how to inform others, and how to address issues.
- Independent . Works with little supervision. Comfortable multi-tasking, managing your own time, and communicating with the offsite clinic director.
- Interpersonal Skills . Good at answering patient questions and addressing their concerns. Has good bedside manner. Promotes good healthcare and maintenance with patients.
- Oversight . Can manage supplies-knows what's on the shelf, what to order, and what tools are required. Creates a safe environment.
