We are looking for an Office Support Specialist (OSS) to support the day-to-day activities of the Information Technology (IT) Team’s Print Shop. The OSS will plan, organize, lead and champion a variety of business operations and specialized administrative activities for GLWA’s Print Shop. In this role, you will use multiline phones, maintain print requests, retrieve, and organize Print Shop supplies, handle information requests, data entry, recordkeeping, and conduct inventory and analyses for the GLWA IT Print Shop team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • You will follow -up by responding through telephone and email with team members to obtain more information needed to complete a printing task or request; provide updates on Print Shop requests.
  • You will conduct supply inventory audits and analyses to ensure timely and efficient ordering of Print Shop supplies to support requests for GLWA and DWSD.
  • You will retrieve, carry, and stock inventory and supplies as they arrive in the docking area or the Print Shop.
  • You will check arithmetic computations and balance figures; operate standard office equipment such as personal computers, printers, copiers, scanners, fax, etc.
  • You will monitor DWSD and GLWA Board calendars to ensure board documents are available when needed.
  • You will perform routine correspondence in response to inquiries and complaints and handle regular contacts with other groups, areas, or teams within GLWA and DWSD related to printing requests.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Microsoft Word and Excel: Intermediate Level of proficiency

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience performing clerical or administrative support
  • Possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License and the ability to drive a motor vehicle on all terrain
  • Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work irregular hours, commute to GLWA facilities and worksites, and respond to after-hour emergencies and on-call responses
