- Coordinates personnel actions such as requests for recruitment, in-processing of summer hires and part-time workers, transfers/ reassignments and reduction-in-force actions with the Area Office.
- Serves as contact for Occupational Heath Coordinator, schedules appointments for employees and ensures employees proper documentation.
- Responsible for preparing training documents ensuring documents are instituted and submitted in a timely matter.
- Prepares and forwards appropriate, timekeeping documents such as, overtime, leave, etc.
- Prepares travel orders and provides traveler information on transportation mode, makes necessary hotel/motel arrangements, obtains airline tickets, obtains travel advances if required and assists employees in other travel matters.
- Prepares a variety of reports such as waste management, supply, safety, and payroll.
- Coordinates Credit Card purchases with the Area Office for the Resident Office ensuring purchases comply with regulations. Stores and distributes items obtained and maintains the required records.
- Prepares required property documents for receipt, transfer or disposal of property; and requests for office furniture.
- Processes and monitors payrolls on all contracts. Verifies accuracy of payrolls, insurance certificates and subcontractor agreements all contract and forwards to the Office of Counsel.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. This position has selective placement factor which must be met prior to employment and for continued employment:
This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
Specialized Experience is defined as:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service which includes:
1. Experience preparing/reviewing documents and correspondence to verify accuracy of information and correctness of format in conformance to established procedures.
2. Experience using various types of software to produce a wide range of documents.
OR
B. Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
C. Combination of education and experience:
Some of the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and some education above the high school level but less than required in B. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.).
