Job Description
Job Summary/Basic FunctionThe Off Campus Social Recreation Assistant is responsible and accountable to the assigned onsite Supervisor at Boys and Girls (Madison Street Clubhouse & Dearington Clubhouse) and Associate Director of Financial Aid – Campus-Based Programs. The Off Campus Social Recreation Assistant provides some tutoring and mentoring to students at the Boys and Girls Club Center that you are assigned to.Minimum Qualifications1. At least a second year student at Liberty University in good standing (no reprimands or suspensions)
2. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
3. Must provide own transportation
4. Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan
5. Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, or be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.14(b)(18)(i)).
6. Must pass various background checks, including, but not limited to, a check at the time of initial employment and subsequent checks on behalf of the Federal Work Study Community Service Project site as well as Liberty University. Failure to pass a background check will result in immediate termination.Preferred Qualifications1. Education, Math, English, Psychology, Sports Management or FACS major with experience in tutoring grades K through 12
2. Ability to speak a foreign language, such as SpanishWork HoursAny hours, Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, up to 20 hours per weekPosting Date 08/30/2017
