Job Summary:
Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.
- Administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
- Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and currently licensed in the State of Massachusetts. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to follow written and oral directions.
- TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year clinical experience serving the same age/population mix as served by the facility. Demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization, with knowledge of application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations. Skills:Basic computer knowledge, Basic knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology. Basic knowledge of occupational therapy machine operation.
