Overview: Physio in Lithonia, GA seeks Occupational Therapist for outpatient orthopedic!
Physio's outpatient center is now hiring a Full Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide exceptional patient care experiences. Join a team of therapists treating mainly outpatient orthopedic with neurological cases, FCEs, TMJ, Amputees. Though we are unable to consider new graduates, Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of recent outpatient experience apply. OT's with a deep ortho, neuro, and work comp understanding required! Any other skills to bring a caseload to the center are welcome!
The Occupational Therapist implements, with minimal supervision, high quality occupational therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and with Select Medical/Physio policies and procedures. Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care. Develops relationships with referral sources. Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
Work Hours: Full Time Varied Hours Mon - Fri.
Compensation. Commensurate with experience. Sign on bonus/loan repayment assistance

Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.- Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
- Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.
- National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
- One year experience with ortho, neuro, and work comp proficiency
- Valid state driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility.
- Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of dictation equipment.
- Possess grasp ability sufficient for cutting splint material.
- Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
