OB TECHNICIAN (LNA)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Obstetric (OB) Technician functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse and assists in the efficient operation of the Birthing Center. He/she will assist in providing care to meet the needs of the patient and the department. The OB Technician will perform a wide variety of clerical and nursing aid duties including, but not limited to, assisting nursing staff in preparation of rooms and equipment for deliveries and recoveries, and with the restocking and ordering of supplies. The OB Tech may perform other duties as assigned by the RN and within their scope of practice.

EDUCATION:

• High School Graduate.

• Current Vermont LNA license.

EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:

• Unit Clerk experience desireable.
• OB and Med Surg Experience preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):

• Current Healthcare CPR Certification required
• Current Vermont LNA license
