Job Description
Responsible for coordination of resources to meet the needs of patients, staff, and physicians on a shift basis. A significant portion of time is spent problem-solving, collaborating with work areas, evaluating the effectiveness of care, and promoting positive communication. Contributes to implementation and enforcement of administrative and patient care policies and procedures, performance appraisals, and takes corrective action as appropriate. Assumes administrative responsibilities in the absence of Clinical Leaders and Chief Clinical Officer. Is responsible to provide oversight of non-patient care areas as well.
RN with 3-5 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in ICU or ED setting. ACLS and PALS certified or willing to obtain. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Must possess strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal communication, and critical thinking skills. Must also be efficient, well organized, and flexible, and be able to multi-task effectively. The candidate must be able to serve as a resource to the inpatient staff and be able to support ED and ICU during times of need. Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time and possess the ability to meet the physical effort condition in the job description. Must also have an excellent attendance record. BSN is highly preferred.
