Our Residential Program is looking for compassionate Nurse Technicians. The Nurse Technician works as a Residential team member with medical involved individuals in a 24 hour supported home environment located in Swansea, Taunton and surrounding communities. The Nurse Technician will provide premier services to the individuals in our care. This position offers flexed schedule including 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. This position is intended for nursing program students who have successfully completed Foundations or Fundamentals of Nursing and would like to earn experience working in a nursing setting, while actively attending a LPN or RN program. Opportunity to learn from other nursing staff on shift as well as earn a future nursing role with our agency after licensing is received.

Responsibilities:


  • On a daily basis, the Nurse Technician will provide a structured routine that includes but is not limited to house meetings, individual outings, meal preparation, ADL care, facilitate family visitations, and distribute medication while maintaining human rights at all times.
  • This position will implement Positive Behavior Support and individual programs as identified in the Individual Service Plans.
  • At times, de-escalation and crisis management techniques may be required to maintain the safety of others.

Requirements:

  • Active enrollment in an accredited program leading to LPN or RN licensure.
  • Successful completion of Fundamentals/Foundations of Nursing,
  • Ability to show proof of continued enrollment in an accredited program leading to LPN or RN licensure. Proof would be unofficial transcripts showing active enrollment and passing two weeks after completing semester courses.
  • A qualifying criminal background check and driving record are also required.
