Job Description
Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.
SUMMARY: Utilizes the principles of management, philosophies, policies and goals of the institution and nursing department to ensure consistent, high quality patient care. Assumes administrative responsibility to maintain smooth, efficient hospital functions. Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Requires basic knowledge of nursing. Preferred BA, BS or BBA with a major in nursing, health care administration, business administration, or psychology. Graduate from accredited nursing program.
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in Staff Nurse with Charge Nurse or Assistant Nursing Manager role to acquire skills and knowledge of the job is preferred.
License: Current New York State R.N. license.
Location: Vassar Brothers Medical Center
Work Type: Per Diem
Standard Hours: 0.00
Work Schedule: Night 12
Work Shift: 7pm-7:30am includes weekends, holiday
