SUMMARY OF POSITION :
Provide comprehensive high quality care to Pediatric Pulmonary patients as part of the Inpatient Pediatric Pulmonary team. Will be responsible for clinically assessing, examining and reviewing EMR, writing notes, entering orders, arranging discharges and rounding with a multidisciplinary pediatric pulmonary team. This position will be an active team member that will see patients in the PIMCU, NICU and on the pediatric floor. This position is mostly inpatient with a once a month outpatient clinic session seeing 2-4 post hospital patients for follow up. This position will be 10 hours each day four times a week Monday – Friday, dayshift only. On call every other Tuesday from 5 pm - 8 am (phone calls only from home), no weekends, no major holidays. When the other APP is on vacation this position will work 8 hours a day Monday through Friday to cover the service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.
- Two years work experience as a RN required.
- Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
- Must have demonstrated effective skills in consultation.
- Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
