Overview:
Community Regional Medical Center provides central California with the highest level of care available in the region. We measure up with top hospitals nationally and are the 3 rd largest in California! Our 685 beds is home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. With a full-service 58,000 square-foot Emergency Department, we are one of the largest and busiest in California. We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand our pediatric specialty services. The hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We’re affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility and have trained 3,000 Medical Doctor’s to date plus we continue to invest in research and training grants.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist 1, functions as a Scientific Technologist (Chemistry) is an entry level position that will be trained in Nuclear Medicine related imaging modalities. Works closely with the Nuclear Medicine Physician while performing the full spectrum of diagnostic imaging, analyzing biological specimens, assisting with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Responsible for patient safety protocols, maintaining all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements and participates in CQI activities. Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate's degree in related field.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current BLS certification.
California State Department of Health Services’ certificate as "Certified Technologist, Nuclear Medicine" all scopes including venipuncture.
PREFERRED: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Nuclear Medicine Technology (N).
