Job Description
Overview: Works under the supervision of the Office Manager and the Physicians. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs cardiac nuclear imaging using established policies and procedures. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess data reflective of patient status and to assist in the interpretation of this information. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works effectively within the office to maintain an environment of excellence which is patient focused to provide timely compassionate quality patient care. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible and accountable for competent nuclear medicine examinations. Also the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for effectively communicating with staff to ensure patient quality care and is motivated with good interpersonal skills. The Technologist must comply with patient safety goals as well as OSHA HIPAA NRC and Virginia Bureau of Radiological Health guidelines.

Colonial Williamsburg has many historical sites and the College of William and Mary is the second oldest institution for higher education in the United States.Qualifications: EDUCATION: Graduate from School of Radiologic Technology and Nuclear Medicine Technology or degree program, meeting CME's to maintain both ICANL and licensing requirements.

EXPERIENCE: One year of experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and Registered or eligible by American Registry Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N) and/or Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CMT). Current CPR Certification Required.
