Night Warehouse Associate

Thor Xpress is a fast growing trucking company based in Elizabeth, NJ. We are looking for a warehouse worker to participate in our overnight warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include assisting night warehouse manager, loading and unloading freight, breaking down cargo, segregating, and handling. Must be able to follow directions and assist manager. The goal is to increase efficiency, speed, and productivity of the overnight operation. Work days are Sunday through Thursday

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Complete diary logs into inventory
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisor.
• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Skills

• Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
• Physically fit and energetic, able to lift heavy objects
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Reliable
• Current forklift license, preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
