Job Description

Position Summary:

To be responsible for the daily auditing and posting of transactions for each of the resorts business outlets. Perform Font Desk duties as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.

Expected Contributions:

  • Provide superior service to our guests (internal and external) at all times.
  • Follow The Resorts guidelines, dress code and standards.
  • Perform daily Front Desk duties and responsibilities during their shift.
  • Carry out various special projects, and perform other accounting tasks/functions as assigned.
  • In carrying out all audit functions, investigate problems and determine appropriate methods of resolving them, referring unusual problems to supervisor when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Functions

  • Book daily revenue amounts to proper accounts. Reconcile cash receipts to amounts booked.
  • Verify reservation rates daily.
  • Create and maintain various manual and computerized reports such as complimentary stays, daily revenue reports by entity, outlet sales reports, Daily F&B information, etc.
  • Confer regularly with immediate supervisor, other lodging personnel and other Company departments/personnel, particularly central accounting, to plan and coordinate activities/projects/policies/procedures, exchange information, resolve problems, etc.
  • During night shift, staff will cover front desk activities such as check ins and outs, answering switchboard, take reservations, respond to guest requests, dispatch emergency calls, setting wake up calls etc.

Candidate Profile:

Education and Experience

2-3 years of relevant accounting and/or office experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.

Skills and Knowledge

Software - Excellent basic knowledge and skills related to accounting principles and methods. Basic to intermediate Excel Spreadsheet knowledge. Ability to learn the various software systems used to perform nightly duties including processing and closing activities.

Writing - Communicate with resort guests, outside guests and internal guests effectively in writing as appropriate.

Basic Computer Skills - Ability to use or learn basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, POS systems, etc.).

Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Clerical - Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, Excel spreadsheets, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.

Analytical/Critical Thinking - The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Number Facility - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
