New Graduate Critical Care Program

The New Graduate Critical Care Program is an intensive four month continuing education program designed to give Registered Nurses an extended knowledge base in critical care nursing. The program both includes theory and practice in critical care incorporating clinical judgement, critical care knowledge of path physiologic processes and nursing intervention.

Each Module of content includes the ethical basis for nursing action in critical care, as well as negotiation strategies for collaborative interdisciplinary work. New Graduates will also develop knowledge in navigating systems if care resource utilization.

The components identified above will be interwoven into the didactic / seminar / clinical structure of the program. To enhance critical think skills and practice performance in crisis situation, program participants will experience simulated clinical scenarios.

Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an Associate degree program
• BLS required
• Candidate must obtain their RN license in the State of Florida by April 30, 2022

The ICU units are a patient friendly and family centered 22 bed adult unit serving ciritically ill patients
