Leidos Defense Group has an opening for a Network Support Lead in Oahu, HI. This position will support a new award with the Modeling & Simulation for Systems Engineering (MSSE) program in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (CCDC AvMC) Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate. Through this contract, Leidos will ensure warfighter readiness by providing systems engineering services to develop and apply models and simulations to aviation and missile systems analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as part of a team of engineers and IT professionals to design and implement mission critical virtual and physical infrastructure to include OSI network layers, TCP/IP, thin/zero clients.
Provide design and operational input for Audio-Visual (AV) and Video teleconference (VTC) components to ensure successful training exercises within the facility
- Collaborate with internal and external agencies to define IT requirements for training exercises, conferences and other activities, and, based on requirements, use domain expertise to influence recommendations for implementing those requirements
- Define, coordinate and conduct network functionality tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems or applications to ensure that requirements are met
- Perform analysis of system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications and provide that analysis to management. Based on that analysis, recommend improvements based on domain knowledge and research of new technologies.
- Analyze potential network security issues based on CompTIA Security+/CASP best practices/requirements, notify management of potential risks, and ensure that STIGS are applied as required.
Basic Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance, must be able to obtain TS
Meet DoDM 8570.2 IAT II requirements (CompTIA Security+/CASP or equivalent)
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar field with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree and 4+ years relevant experience.
Proven working experience including installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows and Linux based environments.
Basic networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, Exchange Server 2016 through 2019, and SharePoint 2016/2019.
Basic knowledge of IP networking, Office applications, and Windows clients.
Knowledge in managing basic SharePoint permissions and site content.
Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
Ability to work in a dynamic ad rapidly expanding environment
Preferred Qualifications
Active TS/SCI
Desired certifications include: Microsoft certification - MCSA Windows 2016 and/or SQL Server 2016.; VMware Certified Professional; Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
