Network Operations Technician

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently looking for a Top Secret Cleared Network Operations Technician in Herndon, VA to join a cyber security team in support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Responsibilities for the Network Operations Technician include:

• Hands on technical support of routers, switches, servers and firewalls in a data center environment
• Use of applications such as Juniper, Netscreen Firewalls SolarWinds and Cisco Networking Hardware
• Troubleshooting and application of 2- and 3-layer technologies
• Develop and follow an MOP, anticipate problems and proactively take necessary action

Qualifications for Network Operations Technician include:

• 1+ years of experience in industries with similar technical environments
• Cisco Networking background including working on Cisco routers and switches
• Associates Degree in a Technical, Cyber, Communications or related field or equivalent work experience in the communications, Networking or Cyber Security field
• Must be open to 24x7 NOC environment
• Must have an active Top-Secret Security Clearance

Compensation for the Network Operations Technician includes:

• Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 based on experience
