Summary
TCG Network Services is seeking a Network Architect & Support Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. Qualified applicants are proficient at designing, scheduling, implementing, and providing ongoing operational support for corporate telecommunications, network infrastructure, VoIP, SIP, and peripherals.
Support Engineers work with Project Managers and interface directly with vendors, internal staff, and admin personnel. Because this position requires interaction with business executives to plan and install/upgrade network infrastructure, candidates need to be highly professional, personable, and organized. Attention to detail and thorough testing is mandatory.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, implementation, and operational support for platforms such as 3CX, Cisco, Allworx, and AltiGen Communications
- Configuration and maintenance of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls. Additional knowledge as well with configuring SonicWALL, Meraki and HP network devices
- Provisioning and troubleshooting voice services: Hosted PBX, SIP, and analog voice
- Investigation and resolution of service interruptions from end-user support to call escalation for critical events and outages
- Updating, documenting and improving voice & data networks, PBX configurations, dialing plans, and associated systems
- Working knowledge of/with CLEC and ILEC, T1, PRI, SIP services and the ability to implement solutions
- Configures, tests and maintains LAN/WAN equipment and related devices
- Assistance in developing operational procedures for business continuity
- Ability to work alone or as a team member
- May be on call for IT and Telecom issues on a rotating basis

Requirements:
- Ideal candidates should possess a certification with at least 2-4 years of experience installing or supporting systems. Will train and certify the right candidate
- Knowledge of common computers, peripherals, desktop and network operating systems
- VMware and Microsoft Windows Server knowledge, support, and installation experience a plus
- Proficiency in network infrastructure technologies: routing, switching, cabling, wireless, etc.
- Familiarity with security technologies: firewalls, patch management, best practices, etc.
- Experience with CAT6 Cabling, Patch Panel work, Cross Connections. Able to tone and trace cables
- Knowledge of POTs, PRI/T1 and SIP is required
