What you will do:
This role will be responsible for attending and at times lead effective, project team meetings; demonstrating financial responsibility by protecting the employers’ financial interests through diligent scope and asset management and deployment; and serving as role model by demonstrating professionalism, honesty, integrity, ethical behavior and living our company values Position requires the ability to work in an individual and team environment with peers and superiors. Must demonstrate the ability to motivate and promote teamwork. Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information. General Self-starter with ability to set and manage priorities. Here’s a day in the life:
- Maintain industry best practice network architecture compliant with SQF and/or ISO 9001
- Understanding of PCI compliance requirements
- Exposure to Manufacturing ISA 95 and ISA 99 network requirements
- Excellent Technical understanding of networking technologies, protocols, and hardware.
- Turning business requirements into solutions working within the IT Infrastructure Team
- Multitasking between operational support, proactive monitoring, performance tuning and project work load
- Candidates should be able to work with a remote team and to take constructive feedback and input from team members and other coworkers
- Work conditions include both corporate and industrial settings, candidate must be comfortable in both
- Demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment, initiative and tact in working with employees, management and business partners
- Work flexible schedules, as required
- Maintain extensive and effective communications with internal and external contacts
- Demonstrate strong PC skills and knowledge of business applications such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook, Visio Pro, network diagramming and process flowcharting software
- Stay abreast of technological network solutions and industry. Recommend and refer as appropriate to achieve business goals
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
- Experienced working in a company with multiple locations
- Demonstrate knowledge of Solarwinds Orion Enterprise Class Network Monitoring or other equivalent solution and SNMP Configuration and use a plus
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Aruba ACSA, Network+, CCNA or other Aruba Associate certification, or equivalent experience required, professional Aruba/HPE/Cisco or other major provider networking certifications with concentrations in routing and switching, wireless networks, security is a plus
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in networking; hands-on configuration, implementation and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting the following technologies: Cisco/Aruba switching and routing, SD-WAN technologies, WAN Optimization, Knowledge in networking security as it pertains to SCADA systems and control networks (ISA-95 through ISA-100) a major plus
- Aruba 802.11 Wireless, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC and GRE tunnels, Palo Alto, Cisco, and other Firewall
- Windows 10, Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 builds, configure and troubleshooting is desired
- Experience with Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Azure IaaS, and/or Azure Networking is a major plus
- Familiar with encryption and password practices and procedure
- 1 year experience in a business environment that is PCI, SOX or GAP compliant
