Kleinfelder's San Diego, California office is seeking an NDT/Certified Welding Inspector to join our team.We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing.This position will focus on observation and testing of structural steel that will include non-destructive testing with ultrasonic and magnetic particle methods. Additional work may support the commercial/industrial, transportation, water and energy markets. This position requires a passionate commitment to client service and the ability to work at a fast pace within a dynamic market. This position requires the inspector to:

- Perform routine to complex field inspections for purpose of verifying conformance to construction plans and specifications.
- Follow proper procedures, performs accurate computations, maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
- Prepare electronic daily reports and data sheets.
- Prepare reports for review by supervisor prior to submittal to client.
- Provide training and mentoring to others.
- Minimum 2-5 years structural steel observation and testing with NDT methods.
- Certifications required: AWS, D1.1 CWI, and ASNT-TC1A NDT Level II in ultrasonic and magnetic particle
- NACE Level I certification is desired but, not a requirement.
- Work responsibilities will include following all of Kleinfelder’s safety requirements, adhering to work schedules, writing reports of observations and inspections and tests that are performed; from ground level and other working heights.
- Knowledge and use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project is required
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass drug test required
