Mystique - Host(ess)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Host(ess), a typical day might include the following:

• As guests are arriving in our venues you are greeting them with a welcoming smile and are able to provide them with fast, friendly service
• You are able to monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene when needed according to all necessary guidelines
• Promote Big Night Entertainment Group Restaurants and Venues in a positive and professional manner
• You are able to work well with others as you will be working with other servers, bartenders, bar backs, and management
• You are able to remember guest’s names and utilize them when appropriate
• You are able to build guest loyalty
• You are able to resolve service problems with empathy and according to guidelines
• Your work area is maintained, clean and stocked
• Other duties to be assigned based on venues requirements

Skills/Qualifications

This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:

• You have at least 1 year previous hosting experience in a fast paced bar/restaurant
• You present a neat and professional appearance
• You are able to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers
• You are able to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
• You are able to accurately count money and provide necessary change

• Workplace can have moderate to high stress levels
• May be required to lift or move up to 30 lbs using proper lifting techniques and withstand long hours on your feet in a fast-paced, high energy environment
• Non-typical office hours will be customary including evenings, weekends, and holidays
