Summary:

The Multimedia Specialist with Creative Design Focus reports to the Manager of Creative Services. This position is a member of the marketing communications team and should have the right balance of technical skills and imaginative creativity. The Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for designing, producing and editing both multimedia and traditional print projects to support various initiatives within the Creative Services Department at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. This will involve photography, videography, and graphic design for print and digital media. This includes camera and editing work, web layout and design, and traditional print design of magazines, newsletters, brochures, advertisements, direct mail pieces or other collateral materials. The Multimedia Specialist must display outstanding organizational and communication skills, be able to manage multiple projects, and comply with brand standards. Other duties as assigned.


Other information:

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and creation of both print and multimedia materials, specifically: audio, video, print and web is required.


EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Bachelors degree in Visual Communication or a related field is required.


SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong visual design, typography and composition skills to interpret written creative briefs with appropriate visual solutions. Proven results with photography and videography. Excellent organizational, time and project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments, handle multiple projects and details simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other team members with varying degrees of technical skills. Have an eye for detail and a proven ability to manage the proofing process of work created. Experience creating graphics, interactive design elements, motion graphics, and audio/visual production. Experience preferred: UI / UX design, responsive design and mobile/application design. Proficiency with audio and video and graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite. Understanding of W3C web standards, HTML, HTML5, CSS.
