Job Description

Gregory Funding is seeking a professional, experienced candidate to handle our Mortgage Servicing and Collections calls! The ideal candidate will be punctual, professional, have excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of collections laws, policies, and procedures. Representatives take around 100-150 calls a day, and are expected to maintain our high level of customer service expectations. Motivated self-starters preferred! Day to day you will

  • Contact debtors regarding status of their account and negotiate payment arrangements to avoid mortgage delinquency and foreclosures
  • Determine debtor’s financial ability to qualify for alternate payment programs available to their unique situation
  • Work in accordance with consumer privacy laws and all company procedures
  • Perform skip tracking to locate debtors with incorrect contact information
  • Document and maintain all incoming and outgoing collection efforts in accordance with the established standards. (E.g. update phone numbers, sending letters, updating mailing addresses, confirming occupancy etc.)
  • Discuss Escrow, Taxes, Insurance, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Payoff’s and Reinstatements with borrowers

Requirements

  • At least one year experience in financial services industry preferably a customer service based role
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain professional demeanor at all times
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to make independent decisions in fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong Customer Service skills including; empathy, de-escalation and acknowledgement skills
  • Ability to adhere to compliance guidelines by reciting disclosures when applicable
  • Ability to establish and build relationships with multiple departments to accomplish
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed based business needs including one Saturday a month (4 hour shift)
