Mortgage Closer- Closing and Funding Department Responsibilities:

• Review of all documentation required to close VA/FHA purchase transactions within TRID, RESPA and VA/FHA guidelines
• Validate all data, ie, purchase contracts, appraisals, COE’s and borrower/ co-borrower information
• Work with title companies, settlement agents and attorneys, along with internal processors and loan officers to prepare and balance closing disclosures and closing document packages

Mortgage Closer- Closing and Funding Department Qualifications:

• 1 year Closing experience, with FHA and VA experience preferred
• Understanding of TRID and RESPA requirements regarding wait periods for closing preferred
• Able to accurately prepare and balance a closing disclosure with settlement agents
• Team Player and strong at connecting with processors and loan officers regarding potential issues with files
• Ability to work with and communicate with settlement agents to guarantee the timely preparation of closing disclosures and closing documents
