Molding Operator

GS Plastic Optics is hiring Optics Molding Operators for their C Shift Operation. These are excellent opportunities for individuals who can follow direction, have a strong attention to detail and detail, and can work independently and be a productive team member.

C Shift Hours:.

Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 p.m. through 7:00 a.m.

Responsibilities:

• Operate one or more molding machines, as assigned.
• Performs visual inspection of and “degates” product.
• Carefully handles product to prevent damage.
• Reads, understands and implements all process, quality and safety work instructions for assigned jobs.
• Takes inventory to see if one has all required materials and accessories readily available to perform job and replenishes supplies for the next shift before leaving.
• Performs simple milling and secondary operations on molded parts.
• Labels and packages parts correctly.

Skills/Experience/Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of the quality standards for a clean and organized work space.
• Ability to follow and adhere to safe work practices and leads by example.
• Must be able to perform basic math functions.
• Basic computer entry skills, will train.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
