Job Description

We are Elyria Foundry, a mid-size intimate company with facilities in Elyria, Ohio. A molder helper will form sand molds used in the production of iron casting. Perform a variety of duties such as mixing materials, filling/stacking molds to mold and cast a wide variety of products. Perform various other duties as assigned. Responsible for own safety and the safety of others in the area.

- Read work order to determine what is needed to produce product.
- Selects size and type of mold according to job sheet.
- Fills mold with mixed materials and applies material to mold specified thickness.
- Molds parts or product using casting equipment and taps mold to ensure uniformity.
- Assembles inserts and adjust rods and vents according to job sheet.
- Excellent coordination, focus and dedication to following safety protocols
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- 1+ year of manufacturing or continuous employment experience
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Manufacturing, Non-Climate Controlled, Variable Temperatures.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Performing General Physical Activities- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
