Job Description
    DutiesSummary

    About the Position: This position is with the 99th Readiness Division, Reserve Personnel Action Center (RPAC), Meade Satellite MD021, located at Rockville, Maryland. Work is performed in an office setting.


    Responsibilities
    • Process military personnel actions using automated systems.
    • Process military pay actions using automated systems.
    • Enter data into automated systems.
    • Prepare reports to identify trends.
    • Respond to inquiries from soldiers regarding pay issues.
    • Review outgoing correspondence to ensure compliance with military administrative regulations.
    • Advise soldiers on military personnel programs.
    • Advise supported units regarding military personnel regulations.
    • Train others on the use of automated systems.
    • Brief supervisor or leaders on complex military personnel or pay issues.
    • Analyze data in automated system for errors.
    • Review pay account transactions to ensure compliance with military pay regulations.
    • Research pay complaints from soldiers.
    • Review files to ensure accuracy.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.     Specialized Experience:
    One year of specialized experience which includes performing clerical or administrative tasks in support of a military unit or activity by preparing correspondence, filing and data entry; processing a variety of personnel or pay actions; and interpreting and/or applying regulatory or procedural requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
