Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) is looking for support for analytical and project management support for executive decision making. You will be part of a 10 person team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver effective management plans, authoritative analysis, and “speed to decision” for very senior leaders. This is a new opportunity, so you will not be picking up someone else’s work. Your team will define this process along with the customer.

You will be part of a 10 person team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver effective management plans, authoritative analysis, and “speed to decision” for very senior leaders. In this role you will:
- Provide process infrastructure support to U.S, Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) in executive-level mission support, research and analysis, program evaluation, and objective-based modeling for effective and timely decision-making support
- Serve as project lead with responsibilities to include: Provide Program Management and serve as the main client liaison; Provide oversight to project managers or team leads on the development of project work plan; Manage or monitor project delivery and ensure project cost, schedule, and scope are adhering to the agreed upon work plan; Act as the first level of escalation for all delivery, performance, and contractual issues; Provide expertise on governance processes, program management, and performance metrics; Provide quality control over the work of the entire team
- Responsible for managing project(s) and related task orders for customer(s) with revenue ranging from $3 - $15M
- Conducts cost management through continual cost control and review
- Has business development and budgetary responsibilities
- Provide feedback and resolutions to clients to ensure resolution of any outstanding issues that arise
- Utilitze advanced knowledge and understanding of BUMED best practices
- Secret Clearance
- Master’s degree in related field and 8+ year’s program management experience managing large or multiple small/medium projects concurrently; Bachelor’s degree in related field and 12+ year’s program management experience managing large or multiple small/medium projects concurrently is acceptable also
- Plus demonstrated ability to: Manage multiple concurrent programs and conducted project reviews with project managers; Successfully manage relationships with client senior management and executives to ensure issue resolution and provide recommendations for additional management assessments
- PMP qualified preferred
Desired qualifications:
- Navy Medicine leadership or staff experience; BUMED leadership or staff experience, Defense Health Agency leadership or staff experience
- Also may consider: Other Services (e.g. USAF, USCG, US Army) leadership or staff experience in health/medical fields
- Also may consider: Other Federal Health Agencies (e.g. Veterans Administration) leadership or staff experience in health/medical fields
